B H Brody is foremost known as a colorist
and a contemporary landscape painter. Brody’s style always comes forth whether
it is in collages, paintings, drawings, designs or writings. “Most people
remember faces, names, and words. I remember colors, shapes, light …the
impact of nature’s changes along with everyday sightings and dreams that
stick to my bones. I absorb it all… breathe it in… write notes, add a
small drawing or two and let it rest.”
“Later, the magic begins. It all comes together and grows
into the essence I build my art on. My inspiration comes from all of the
places I have been to…. want to go to or perceived in another time.” In
describing her work she answers: “Color.... color...color… coupled with
surprise, timelessness, movement, along with a certain playfulness and elegance.
B H Brody, a Midwesterner at heart, has been an artist
for as far back as she can remember. “My work reflects my interpretation
of symbols, everyday thoughts, sights and feelings.” ….”It is important
that my work invokes a spiritual understanding of the bounty around us accompanied
with a sense of wonder! And, always ever thankful for God’s magic light!”
